Nestled in the woods of Rumson, New Jersey, a classic California midcentury modern ranch emerges as a pared-down, peaceful, and minimalist home for a professional couple who work in the television industry. Built in 1958, the house needed a cosmetic face-lift; we stripped off layers of old remodeling and added cozy elements, making the house perfect for welcoming their grown children for frequent visits. One kitchen refresh later, along with the redesign of select fireplaces, the addition of custom built-ins, and a freshening up of the landscape and exterior of the home, the house is ready for its close-up.
